The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia finished investigation of a probe into former Moscow traffic police officers Alexander Galkin and Alexey Dolbeev and civilians Alexander Solovyev, Mikhail Kalinin and Dmitry Belov. They are accused of committing offenses under Paragraph A of Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia (bribery). Galkin, Solovyev and Roman Dolbeev are charged with 7 episodes of the offense, other accomplices - with 2-6 episodes.

According to investigators, in 2012 Galkin and Dolbeev, acting as part of an organized group, together with Solovyev, Kalinin and Belov, for an illegal fee provided interested persons with driving licenses on the basis of falsified documents on training in a driving school and without actually passing their qualifying examinations for the right to drive a car. The amount of a bribe for the illegal obtaining of a driver's license ranged from 20 to 27.5 thousand rubles.

The investigators collected enough evidence for the criminal case to be referred for approval of an indictment.

The above-mentioned individuals were previously convicted by the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow of committing similar crimes and sentenced to imprisonment.
