An appeal from the mother of a MGIMO student who died in 2018 to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin appeared on the social network with a request to initiate a criminal case against the vice-rector of the institute. The woman claims that the head of the university was acquainted with the family of the alleged murderer of the girl and contributed to the concealment of the crime. The jury had previously issued an acquittal for the young man, and the Nikulinsky Court in Moscow acquitted him. The aggrieved party wrote an appeal, and at the end of last month the case was sent to the Moscow City Court.
A.I. Bastrykin instructed his subordinates to report on all stages of the investigation and the circumstances of the incident that led to the death of the girl.
