The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.A. Strizhov to report on investigation of a probe into death of a 4-year-old boy in the Turkish Republic, launched under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (infliction of death by negligence).

According to preliminary data, on September 9, 2021 the child, who was with his parents in the territory of the Republic of Turkey, due to the ongoing symptoms of poisoning for several days was hospitalized in a medical facility in Antalya, where he died despite receiving treatment. The parents of the child will be interrogated upon arrival to the Russian Federation. In order to establish the exact cause of the boy's death, the necessary forensic examinations will be assigned and conducted, and medical documentation of his treatment in a foreign country will be requested. The investigation will be supervised by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.

Apart from that, the head of the Committee instructed the acting head of Orel Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia P.V. Ermakov to report on the progress of investigation of a probe into murder of a missing 9-year-old girl. At present, a 61-year-old neighbour of the murder girl has been detained on suspicion of committing of the offense. He is in custody. At present the investigators are examining the scene, forensic and DNA examinations are to be appointed. The progress of investigation is under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Moreover, A.I. Bastrykin instructed the acting head of the St. Petersburg Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.D. Golombievsky to carry out a full and comprehensive investigation of a probe into illegal deprivation of freedom of a minor boy in a St. Petersburg medical facility, and to give legal assessment not only to the doctors, but also to the direction of the orphanage, guardianship authorities, and to complete the investigation in the shortest time possible. The progress and results of the assessments are supervised by the Central Office of the Committee.
