Charges pressed against a person accused of a murder of a woman in Orsk

The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia pressed charges against Orsk resident Igor Repin for committing an offense under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder). Previously, the court ruled to place him into custody.

According to investigation, on October 21 of this year Repin, being in a state of alcohol intoxication in his own apartment, during a quarrel with his acquaintance, inflicted to the woman multiple blows with hands on various parts of her body and then strangled her by putting a belt around her neck. In order to conceal traces of the murder, the accused dismembered the victim's body and left her parts in various places.

After their discovery during the investigative and search activities, the identity of the victim was established, and then information about the involvement of 42-year-old Repin in the commission of the crime was obtained.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia was reported on the prompt solving of the crime. Upon instructions of the head of the Committee the issue of rewarding with Committee awards investigators and criminal investigation officers who managed to identify and apprehend the suspect in a short time is being resolved.

At the moment, the investigation is conducting a complex of investigative activities to established all the circumstances of the tragedy. When questioned as a defendant, Repin pleaded guilty to the crime.
