Direct Contact with Donbass Law Enforcement Agencies Established on Chairman of the IC of Russia's Orders

On Chairman of the IC of Russia A. I. Bastrykin's orders, the Department of Legal Support and International Cooperation of the IC, together with the Main Investigation Department, has worked out the issue of cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics regarding the investigation of crimes on the territory of Donbass. The departments established the direct exchange of information necessary for the investigation of crimes committed by the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and national battalions in Donbass and Russia.

Close and constant operational cooperation with the investigative authorities of the DPR and the LPR will make it possible to investigate such crimes as effectively as possible, accelerate the process of documenting and collecting evidence and identify all those involved in the crimes.
Earlier, following the work trip to Rostov Oblast, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin issued a corresponding instruction, indicating that it was necessary to collect and document evidence during the preliminary investigation and bring all the offenders to justice.

During the working trip, A. I. Bastrykin was informed that officers of the IC of Russia questioned refugees arriving in the Russian Federation, all the facts of committing crimes against them were being established. At the operational meeting, A. I. Bastrykin gave a number of specific instructions, including to promptly complete the investigation into criminal cases on crimes committed by the Ukrainian military against civilians. The trial of Ukrainian war criminals must take place. All the collected evidence of their inhumane atrocities, including against women and children, will be presented there.
