Officers of the IC of Russia Continue to Visit Refugees Arriving from the LPR and DPR

Officers of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continue to provide support to citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics who were forced to leave their homes.

Samara Oblast is one of the regions that heartily welcomed the forced migrants. Here, more than 40 children of different ages have been comfortably accommodated on the territory of a health camp located in a pine forest in one of the most beautiful places of Krasnoyarsky Raion; on March 9, the children for the first time went to educational institutions of Samara Oblast. Officers of the IC of Russia congratulated the guys on this important event in their lives. Alexander Vladimirovich Voevodin, Deputy Head of the Investigative Department, talked to the children and their parents and presented gifts.

Officers of the Investigative Department for Saratov Oblast did not remain indifferent to the problems of the little guests. Anatoly Yuryevich Govorunov, Head of the Investigative Department, visited children who had been accommodated with their guardians in the Sokol recreation complex, in a picturesque place of Leninsky Raion in the city of Saratov. Remoteness from the main transport routes and industrial enterprises creates a quiet atmosphere and promotes health, recreation and leisure. With the help of the collected funds, the IC officers purchased essential items for the children, clothes for the spring period and art objects. Also, Oleg Alexandrovich Mezrin, First Deputy Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Saratov Oblast, visited orphans in the Udarnik social and health center in Engelssky Raion and delivered essential items.

Officers of the Main Investigative Department for Moscow Oblast arranged a real birthday celebration for 15-year-old Valeria, who had arrived at the Rodnik health and education center in Pushkinsky Okrug of the city. To celebrate the event, the officers brought a cake and helped the birthday girl light candles so that she could make her most cherished wish, which would certainly come true. The girl said that this day would be special for her, because she had celebrated her birthday with a smile for the first time over the past 8 years, without fear for herself, as well as for the life and health of her relatives.

Andrey Pavlovich Vinogradov, Head of the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Kirov Oblast, and officers of the regional department visited a young mother who had arrived with her 6-month-old daughter from the Lugansk People’s Republic to Kirov Oblast. Her husband and relatives remained at home. Now the young mother and the baby live in a safe and peaceful environment. She is waiting for peacetime to come, and they will be able to return to Lugansk to their family and relatives. The officers presented gifts to the young mother and wished her peace, a good future, and assured her of their readiness to provide support in any matters.

Officers of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation are confident that every child needs care and protection, so the IC officers can’t stay indifferent. Children invariably thank them for there care and attention; children’s smiles at the sight of new toys make it clear that childhood is not lost for them yet, and it is in our hands to restore their faith in goodness and a peaceful sky above their heads.

Essential items have been donated to a mother raising a disabled child; the items were purchased through voluntary donations of the IC officers in the Republic of Mordovia. Officers of the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for the Republic of Karelia, along with other regional departments of the IC of Russia, also provided charitable assistance to refugees: they purchased essential goods, personal care items, and baby food. For the time being, 29 people have arrived in the republic, eight of them are children.

In addition, officers in various regions of the country continue to provide refugees with legal assistance as part of ongoing meetings of officials with these individuals; the process of recording evidence of crimes committed by the Ukrainian military is ongoing. So, since 2014, officers of the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Bryansk Oblast have interrogated in the region more than 4,400 internally displaced persons from Donbass. The stories of life of families in turbulent times, their own tragedies – rather than bureaucratic formulations – are behind each interrogation. Sadly, even the children of Donbass are already calmly, without fear, reporting on the shelling of their territory by nationalists; over the years of bombing they have learned to distinguish flying shells almost by sound and, as many of them admit, they are already tired of being afraid.

During interrogations, investigators in the regions where residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics have been accommodated also check the need for financial, psychological, social and domestic assistance, as well as advisory support.

Valery Andreevich Lipsky, Head of the Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, together with representatives of authorities and respective ministries and departments, held a personal reception of individuals who had arrived in Tatarstan from the LPR and DPR and were temporarily accommodated in one of the sanatoriums in the city of Kazan. The meeting was attended by 8 individuals, three of whom were children. The head of the Investigative Department discussed with the people the problems facing them and declared his readiness to provide the necessary support to those in need. In addition, officers of the Investigative Department donated food kits to refugees and gifts to children during a personal meeting.

Officers of the Investigative Departments in Kursk Oblast, Kaluga Oblast, Kostroma Oblast held meetings with refugees, during which they explained the main provisions of the law, the procedure for admission and training in educational institutions of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, as well as the procedure for obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation, employment, medical and social support.

Supporting distressed people and providing them with all kinds of assistance will continue in the future.
