Chairman of the IC of Russia Instructs Officials to Investigate the Circumstances of the Shelling of the Town of Makeevka and Firing on Refugees Leaving Mariupol

Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, has instructed the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia to investigate the circumstances of the shelling of civilians and settlements in the territory of Donbass.

According to reports, on March 15, 2022, the explosion of the Tochka U missile injured about ten people, including three children, and damaged civilian infrastructure in the central part of the town of Makeevka.

Also, it is reported that on the same day, the Ukrainian military fired on refugees who were trying to leave Mariupol towards Russia.

A.I. Bastrykin has instructed the investigators  to collect and record evidence and identify all the persons involved in this incident in order to subsequently bring them to justice established by law. Investigators of the IC of Russia will give a legal assessment of these facts.
