The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee takes part in a charity event dedicated to the International Children's Day

Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin - the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation took part in a ceremony dedicated to the International Children's Day and was organized by the Russian Children's Fund, it took place in the building of State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

Among the guests of the ceremony were the following: Mr. Sergey Vasilievich Petrov - the Head of the Educational Work Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Hero of Russia, Mrs. Lilia Alexandrovna Likhanova – a widow of the Russian Children's Fund founder named after Albert Likhanov, Mr. Bakhtiyor Marufovich Khakimov – Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, national coordinator of the Russian Federation in the SCO. Also the invited persons were the members of state structures in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, members of the Yunarmiya, children of the embassies staff of the friendly to our country States (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Abkhazia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Uzbekistan, South Ossetia), the members of the Andrey Karlov Foundation.

Mr. A.I. Bastrykin, addressing the children, noted that this was a bright and kind holiday, which reminded us that children are our main priority, our future and pride. It depended on adults what they would grow up into and what country they would live in. He added that every child should have the opportunity to realize their abilities and talents due to become a comprehensively developed person, emphasizing that the holiday is called Children's Day for a special reason. “This is especially true now, when thousands of children of Donbas have lost their relatives, the loved ones, and their home. The Investigative Committee of Russia stands guard over the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of juveniles. Our slogan is “There are no other people's children!” - added the Head of the Russian Investigative Committee. It was also noted that 506 children's institutions of a specialized type were under the Investigative Committee’s supervision. They are provided with the assistance in improving their economic and living conditions and get the comprehensive support.

In conclusion, Mr. A.I. Bastrykin congratulated everybody once againt on the holiday and wished the children to stay healthy, to keep the best well-being and he wished them success in their studies.

The event traditionally continued with a colorful performance for all the children.
