Launched a criminal case against the shelling of the Svatovo town by the Ukrainian nationalists

The Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case against the crime prescribed in Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill-treatment of the civilian persons, the use of banned means and methods warfare), on the shelling of the Svatovo town, the Lugansk People's Republic.

It became known, that on the morning of July 29, 2022, following the deliberately criminal orders of higher commanders and officials of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian nationalists fired at the civilian infrastructure facilities in the Svatovo town using a Tochka U tactical missile, which has high damaging properties. As a result of shelling, three civilians were injured.

The Investigative Committee of Russia will identify all the persons involved in the commission of the crime in order to prosecute them.
