Investigative Committee of Russia identifies new episodes of crimes committed by the Ukrainian nationalists against civilian population

The Investigative Committee of Russia launched a number of criminal cases under Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill- treatment of the civilian persons, use of banned means and methods in warfare), against the servicemen of the 30th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mr.Alexander Zinevich and Mr. Nikolai Perestupnyak, the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mr.Aleksey Maistrenko and Mr. A. Golenko, as well as 56 separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Mr.Sergey Sirchenko, Mr. Dmitry Gerasimenko, Mr. Vyacheslav Bugaychuk, Mr. Alexander Bondarenko, Mr. Miroslav Verkhovy, Mr. Artem Puchkov, Mr.lGennady Boyko and other military staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to investigation, on July 25-28, 2022, the above mentioned persons gave and executed criminal orders for targeted artillery attacks from heavy weapons on civilian infrastructure facilities in the cities of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Avdeevka, Yasinovataya, and the Mineralnoye, Staromikhaylovka, Nikolskoe, Oleksandrivka, Novoluganskoye and Lidievka settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic.

As a result, one civilian was killed, 38 people were injured, 81 houses and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

The Russian Investigative Committee continues to identify the Ukrainian armed formations and units as well as the particular individuals involved in the shelling of civilians.
