The investigation petitions on imposing the restrain as custody to a man involved in the beating of Mr. Oleg Mukhin in St. Petersburg

The Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case refered from the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for St. Petersburg on the committing crime against Mr. Oleg Mukhin.

It was detected, that on August 16, 2022, Mr. Oleg Mukhin filmed the dismantling of the mansion of E. P. Saltykova, which is located along Bolshaya Morskaya Street in St. Petersburg. Seeing this, Mr. Nikolai Markov, an employee of the Company, that carried out the dismantling of the building, and two other persons, beat Mr. Mukhin, finishing that, they pulled the victim into the hall, and forced him to write a hand-receipt on the absence of claims.

Mr. Markov was detained and he is charged with beatings and illegal deprivation of freedom (Articles 116, 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation submits a petition to the court to impose pre-trial restraint as custody to him. The second accomplice of the crime escaped, in connection with which he is put on the wanted list. A set of measures is being taken to identify the third accomplice.
