The investigating authorities of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Novosibirsk oblast are investigating a criminal case against an 18-year-old young man on charges of sexual abuse towards a child. Currently, a range of investigative actions is being carried out on the case.

The Chairman of the IC of Russia instructed Mr. Zaripov V.B., acting Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Novosibirsk oblast to launch a criminal investigation on the negligence of officials responsible for work in the field of guardianship and child welfare, and submit a report.

The investigation and its results are the subject to control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
