The criminal investigation against Mr. Maxim Martsinkevich and his accessories to crimes is finalized

The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has finalized the criminal investigation against Mr. Maxim Martsinkevich, Mr. Semyon Tokmakov, Mr. Pavel Khrulev, Mr. Alexei Gudilin, Mr. Alexander Lysenkov, Mr. Andrei Kail and Mr. Maxim Khotulev. Depending on the involvment of each, they were charged in accordance with paragraphs "a", "e", "g", "k", Part 2, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons, committed with extreme atrocity, by a group of persons, motivated by national hatred).

It was detected that in the fall of 2003, Mr. Martsinkevich and his accessories, who were part of a nationalist organization led by Mr. Tokmakov, committed the murder of two people in Smolensk Oblast in order to spread the ideology. In December of the same year, the defendants committed the murder of two persons in Sergiev Posad raion of Moscow oblast. After that, they sent appeals about intolerance to foreign citizens to the embassies of a number of states. In addition, in 2007, on the territory of the Mytishchi Park of the Losiny Ostrov National Park, Mr. Martsinkevich, Mr. Marshakov, Mr. Korotkikh and Mr. Aristarkhov committed the murder of a native of the Republic of Dagestan and an unidentified person, and then published a video of the crime on the Internet.

Over 40 different forensic examinations were carried out during the criminal investigation, numerous inspections of the scenes of crimes, including the use of forensic technologies, where the burial place of the bodies of the dead in Smolensk Oblast was discovered. Also the other evidence of the guilt of the mentioned above criminals was received, including those, that confirm the motives of their criminal activities.

The investigation collected a sufficient evidence base, so the criminal case was sent to court for subsequent trial.
