In Moscow a man held on suspicions of killing five people

Moscow investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal case over murder of five people in an office building in north-east part of Moscow. The proceedings were started over signs of a crime under paragraph “a” of article 105 of the RF Criminal Code (murder of two or more people).

A man suspected of the crime is apprehended and under investigating and procedural operations at the moment. It is Dmitry Vinogradov, 30, an employee of pharmaceutical company with higher education.

According to investigators, in the morning of 7 November 2007, the suspect entered the office of the pharmaceutical company, with which he is employed and opened fire from his carbines Sayga and Benelli at his colleagues. Three men and two women were killed at their workplaces. One man and one woman were wounded and are under medical treatment. The suspect was held by the company’s security staff, who heard shots. At present an investigating group of the Moscow Central Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee is working at the murder scene.
