Another criminal case initiated against Head of Logistics Department of OAO Yakutia airlines over attempted evasion of more than 180 million rubles in customs duties

Moscow Inter-Regional Transport Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee during investigation of a criminal case initiated against Yevgeny Struchkov, 32, Head of Logistics Department of OAO Yakutia airlines and other persons over evasion of paying customs duties committed by a group of persons on a preliminary conspiracy and on a grand scale, has revealed a new episode of criminal activity by the said persons.

At present another criminal case is initiated against Struchkov and other persons over signs of a crime under part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “a” and “d” of part 2 of article 194 of the RF Criminal Code (attempted evasion of customs payments collected from organizations committed by a group of persons under a preliminary conspiracy and on a grand scale).

According to investigators, Struchkov with unknown people out of mercenary motives entered into a criminal conspiracy and illegally transferred in 2010 through customs border of the Russian Federation an expensive passenger plane Boeing-757-200 using forged documents containing false information on the real cost of the plane.

The check showed that the sum of the non-paid customs duties resulted from illegal import of civil passenger plane Boeing 757-200 amounted to more than 180 million 500 thousand rubles which is on a grand scale.

At present the criminal proceedings are united in one lawsuit. Investigating operations are underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime. Investigation is to be continued.
