A criminal case into gross violation of children rights, which became known from media, has been opened based on the results of the pre-investigating check organized by Belgorod Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee. The case was opened into signs of a crime under article 293 of the RF Criminal Code (negligence).

We remind that in November 2012, parents of many children in the village of Kuchugry of Charnyansky district, Belgorod Region left a 13-year-old boy suffering from infantine cerebral paralysis in an abandoned house without clothes or food.

Investigators are going to give legal evaluation to actions (inactions) of officials of state authorities and local government, controlling state bodies in charge of ensuring observance of children rights, protection of their health and wellbeing. Investigators are going to find the reasons of such brutal and inhuman treatment of a child by adults.

Investigation of this case is under special control of the Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.
