Searches carried out in Voronezh Region as part of investigation into plotting mass riots

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case over plotting mass riots in Moscow and other regions launched against Sergey Udaltsov, Leonid Razvozzhayev, Konstantin Lebedev and other unknown persons over signs of a crime under part 1 of article 30, part 1 of article 212 of the RF Criminal Code.

During the inquiry, investigators have gathered evidence proving that the suspects organized the meeting of opposition followers and workshops with the purpose of further involving into mass riots. These events took place in summer 2012, in different regions of the Russian Federation. The investigators have found that at those workshops in the Voronezh Region were attended by Anatoly Kravchenko, Roman Khabarov, Alexander Boldyrev, Boris Suprenok, Gennady Pankov and Natalia Zvyagina. The preliminary investigation had grounds to assume that these people’s flats could contain objects and documents relevant for the criminal case and for the establishing personalities of other persons involved in the crime.

In accordance with court decisions investigators have searched flats of the said persons and seized electronic data storage devices, leaflets and literature of anti-government orientation. In addition, the documents confirming receiving in 2011 and 2012 grants of 469 thousand rubles from the companies registered in USA were seized in the flat owned by Suprenok, a member of Voronezh Region Democratic Center. According to the documents the money was allegedly assigned “to protect rights of citizens living in blocks of flats” in Voronezh. A packet was seized from Pankov’s flat, containing presumably some narcotic vegetable matter “marijuana”, which was sent for an expert examination.

The said persons have been delivered to Voronezh Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee to be questioned as witnesses.
