During primary investigating and search operations investigators of the Russia’s Investigative Committee and operative agents of Interior Ministry and Federal Security Service have already managed to establish suspects in murder of Chancellor of Kabardino-Balkaria State Agricultural Academy Boris Zherukov. However their names are not disclosed in the interest of investigation. At present investigating and search operations are underway to collect and consolidate evidence, to establish whereabouts of the suspects and to detain them.

The first results of the investigation were reported to Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, who has held an operational meeting with senior officials of the North Caucasus Federal District Investigations Directorate, the investigating group and senior officials of the republican Interior Ministry and Federal Security Service Directorate of Kabardino-Balkaria today in Nalchik.

As it had been reported earlier, on 25 December 2012, around 11 a.m.in Nalchik two unknown persons entered the office of Boris Zherukov, Chancellor of V.M. Kokov Kabardino-Balkaria State Agricultural Academy and shot him dead in head from 9 mm guns. Zherukov was also Head of faction United Russia in the parliament of Kabardino-Balkaria. Investigation is to be continued.
