Criminal case against former Governor of Tula Region Vyacheslav Dudka charged with large-scale bribe-taking completed

Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has completed investigating a criminal case against former Governor of Tula Region Vyacheslav Dudka and former Director of Tula Region Department of Property and Land Relationships Viktor Volkov. They are charged with crimes under paragraphs “a” and “d” of part 4 of article 290 of the RF Criminal Code (bribe-taking on an especially large scale).

According to investigators in spring 2010,l Dudka entered a conspiracy with former Director of Tula Region Department of Property and Land Relationships Volkov and through a mediator received a bribe of 40 million rubles from Dobrynin, the managing director of ZAO Corporation GRINN, for leasing of 2.5 ha of land.

Their guilt is confirmed by experts’ conclusions, material and other evidence.

The criminal case against Dobrynin was dismissed due to expire of the statute of limitations.

Investigators have collected enough evidence and the case with the approved indictment has been forwarded to the court to be tried on the merits.
