Final charges brought against members of Kupavninsky organized criminal group in Moscow

Investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have brought final charges against members of so called Kupavninsky organized criminal group: Sergey Alsyonov, Yuri Kapinosov, Ivan Mikhaylov, Sergey Muravlyov, Pavel Sorokin, Sergey Monogov and Alexander Patkin. Depending on the role of each one, they are charged with crimes under article 209 of the RF Criminal Code (banditry), part 2 of article 105 (murder), part 4 of article 162 (robbery) and part 3 of article 222 (illegal handling of firearms).

According to investigators, in December 2009, the gang members assaulted staff of OOO Private Security Agency GBB (LLC) at the trading center Moscow and killed three money collectors and stole more than 72 million rubles. In August 2010, the accused attacked the staff of OOO Torgsbyt (LLC), one person was wounded and another shot dead. The accused stole more than 470 thousand rubles. In addition the gang members robbed several Moscow and the Moscow Region residents. In August 2012 they beat up two Moscow residents and stole from them 13 million rubles.

The investigating operations have been finished and in the near future the accused will start studying the materials of the criminal case.
