Alexander Bastrykin, the Russian Investigative Committee Chairman and Manuel Valls, French Interior Minister met in Moscow

A working meeting between Alexander Bastrykin, the Russian Investigative Committee Chairman and Manuel Valls, French Interior Minister has taken place at the Investigative Committee. The meeting expedited strengthening of professional cooperation in criminal proceedings, including battling the most dangerous crimes, new challenges and threats.

It should be noted that Investigative Committee carries out constructive interaction with competent bodies in France, including National Institute of Higher Studies of Security and Justice of the French Republic. Thanks to such cooperation the parties regularly exchange materials, experience and methods in the area of deterrence, prevention investigation of felonies. Special attention is paid to new and perspective forensic means and methods.

The parties were satisfied with Russian-French cooperation in this sphere and noted necessity of its further development, including the matter on signing a corresponding cooperation agreement and implementation of joint activities.
