In Leningrad Region a woman under investigation into illegal alienation of land in unlimited use of the Defense Ministry charged

The Leningrad Region investigating bodies of the Russia's Investigative Committee as part of investigating a criminal case over illegal alienation of land in Vasevolzhsky district of the Leningrad Region in unlimited use of the Defense Ministry has charged Svetlana Pyatunina with a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Criminal Code (swindling on an especially large scale).

Earlier it was reported that Svetlana Pyatunina, director of a commercial organization specializing on real estate deals in the Leningrad Territory, had been detained under a criminal investigation over alienation of more than four hundred hectares of federal lands worth in accordance with cadaster almost a billion rubles and which were in unlimited use of the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to investigators Pyatunina, who is wife of one of heads of Federal Cadaster Chamber of the Leningrad Region, together with other persons submitted to Vsevolzhsky department of the Russian Register forged documents, based on which they obtained a right on land plots being federal property. The detained woman is suspected of illegal obtaining the right on 110 land plots of no less than 25 ha.

After the procedure of chargin, investigators questioned Pyatinuna on circumstances of alienation of the lands of Levashovsky military camp. As before, Pyatunina refused to give testimonies referring to article 51 of the Russian Constitution, allowing her not to testify against herself or her close relatives. Investigation is to be continued.
