Charges brought against another participant of mass riots at Tornado music festival in Miass, Chelyabinsk Region

The Urals Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case over mass disorders that took place on 29 August 2010 at the Tornado rock music festival in the Chelyabinsk Region. Dmitry Pavlikov from Miass, who was searched since 18 November 2012, is charged with a crime under part 2 of article 212 of the RF Criminal Code (participation in mass riots). During the questioning as an accused Pavlikov confessed to the crime and gave detailed testimonies about the circumstances of the crime.

It should be noted that Pavlikov came to investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee of his own accord and told about his participation in mass riots which took place at Tornado rock music festival. That is why court ruled a bail of 500 thousand rubles as a pre-trial restraining measure.

At the same time investigators together with operative agents of N department of the Chelyabinsk Region Directorate of the Federal Security Service continue looking for other persons involved in attacks on the guests of the Tornado music festival.

The Chelyabinsk Regional court has already convicted 13 organizers and participants of mass riots at the festival. Alexander Gir and Maxim Popov are still internationally wanted.
