Two accomplices of Yaroslavl mayor Yevgeny Urlashov transported to Moscow on orders of investigators

The Central Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case against Yaroslavl mayor Yevgeny Urlashov and his accomplices charged depending on the role of each one with part 3 of article 30, part 6 of article 290 of the RF Criminal Code (attempted bribery, part 3 of article 30, part 4 of article 291.1 (attempted mediation in bribery).

The accused head of agency for municipal orders Maxim Poykalaynen and Andrey Zakharov, who investigators believe acted as a mediator in the bribery have been transported in Moscow for investigating operations today. We remind that Poykalaynen and Zakharov cooperate with investigators, namely, during face-to-face interviews with Urlashov they confirmed their testimonies accusing Urlashov of attempted bribery.

Basmanny court in Moscow tomorrow is going to consider investigators’ request to dismiss him from office.

Taking into consideration the public resonance of this actually banal criminal investigation, I can assure that investigators are going to carefully and impartially look into the circumstances of the crime and inform the public regularly about all relevant procedural decisions taken during the investigation.
