Minister of state property and land resources in Nizhny Novgorod Region suspected of exceeding official powers

The Nizhny Novgorod investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal proceeding against minister of state property and land resources in Nizhny Novgorod Region over signs of a crime under part 1 of article 286 of the RF Criminal Code (exceeding official powers).

According to investigators, the minister gave a commercial organization a land plot in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, which was part of property of the region and by this caused over 70 million ruble loss to the budget of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

At present investigators are carrying out a number of investigating operations to gather and consolidate evidence. Investigation is ongoing.
