Head of Illegal Drug Circulation Division of the Interior Ministry Office in Tatarstan Andrey Alekseyev, head of Internal Security Office of the Russian Interior Ministry in the city of Kazan Dmitry Andriyenko, chief of police of the Office of the Russian Interior Ministry in the city of Kazan Ruslan Khalimdarov, senior operative agent of the Internal Security Office of the Russian Interior Ministry Marat Sadykhov were detained on 28 November 2013, during joint search and investigating operations of investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Tatarstan and the Main Office of Internal Security of the Russian Interior Ministry.

Depending on the role of each one they are suspected of crimes under part 1 of article 286 of the RF Penal Code (exceeding of office), part 2 of article 228 (illegal purchase, storage and transportation of considerable amount of drugs), part 3 of article 294 (obstruction to justice and preliminary investigation using official position).

The investigators have conducted searches in flats and offices of the suspects. Investigating and search operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the crime. Investigation is ongoing.
