The Main Investigations Directorate carries on investigating a criminal case against CEO of OAO Uralkali (OJSC) – Chairman of supervisory board of ZAO Belarus Potash Company (CJSC) Vladislav Baumgertner charged with the crime under part 3 of article 33, part 2 of article 201 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of office).

Considering the personality of the accused as well as the restraint ruled by the Belorussian court, Basmanny district court of Moscow satisfied the request of the investigators to change the restraint from custody to a house arrest in his flat in Moscow.

Investigators believe that the accused abused his powers, when managing commercial organizations, using them against the legal interests of those organizations and for benefit and profit of third persons. This caused considerable damage and grave consequences to joint Russian-Belorussian enterprise Belarus Potash Company and Belaruskali. Investigation is ongoing.
