Chairman of Investigative Committee visits patronized children’s home in Murom

Alexander Bastrykin has visited Murom Children’s Home in the Vladimir Region patronized by the Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.

The Chairman had a warm talk with children, said words of support and appreciation to the administration and staff of the facility for their hard, but extremely needed work and daily care they give the children. The officials of the Investigative Committee brought presents and medications for children. In addition, Mr. Bastrykin discussed with the administration of the Children’s Home the problems they have, measures that can be taken to improve support and further assistance to the facility.

The officials of the Investigative Committee have been patronizing Murom Children’s Home for several years. All the presents and bills for repairs are paid by personal funds of the officials. It should be noted that almost all regional investigations directorates patronize children’s homes or other children’s social facilities. Investigating bodies of the Committee patronize 186 children’s facilities. They include facilities for orphans, physically challenged children, mentally disturbed and children deprived of parental care. The patronage is not limited to one-time presents for holidays. The employees of the investigating bodies if necessary take measures to organize highly-qualified medical aid to seriously ill inmates and to help them with education and adaptation after living the facility.
