Murder of Federal Penitentiary Service employee solved in West Moscow

Early in the morning of 27 March 2014 an unidentified person shot a 39-year-old employee of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service in head, chest and thigh near No 39B in Veshnyakovskaya Street in Moscow. The woman died at the scene. Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into the crime under part 1 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder), part 1 of article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms).

Yesterday the assumed killer Ali Sanatkari, intermediate Amar Akhmad and Dmitry Dolin, the victim’s husband, who presumably ordered the killing, were held on suspicion of the crime.

At present the motives are being looked into. Investigating operations are underway.

Sanatkari has already been charged with paragraph “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (contract murder) and part 1 of article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms). He has pleaded guilty. According to investigators for the contract murder he received through the mediator a fee of 300 thousand rubles a week after the murder. The total fee was 500 thousand rubles. After all the detainees have been charged, investigators are going to file a motion sending the suspects in custody.
