In Nizhny Novgorod Region deputy director of branch of FKP of Russian Register and two CEOs of commercial companies suspected of bribery

The Volga Federal District Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has started a criminal investigation against deputy director of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of FKP of Russian Register Kirill Tabakov, CEO of OOO Geostroyinvest Roman Ryumenkov and the CEO of a company in the city of Nizhny Novgorod. Depending on the role of each one, they are suspected of crimes under part 3 of article 30, part 6 of article 290 of the RF Penal Code (attempted bribery on an especially massive scale), part 4 of article 291.1 (mediation in bribery on an especially massive scale) and part 5 of article 291 (giving a bribe on an especially massive scale).

According to investigators a representative of the company tried to give Tabakiv through Tyumenko as a mediator a bribe of 12 million rubles for illegal actions involving depriving the third party of its rights and crossing off the register properties in downtown Nizhny Novgorod, where it was planned to construct a business hotel.

The criminal intentions were not fulfilled as Tyumenkov was detained in a bank, a safe of which the bribe-giver had put the money in. Tabakov and Tyumenkov were detained, their offices and residences have been searched.

Charges and restraints are being discussed at the moment. Investigation is ongoing.
