The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region have started a criminal investigation over a crime under part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code after a woman from the town of Roshal, Moscow Region and her underage daughter were killed.

According to investigators, at night of 17 August 2014, unidentified persons broke into a house, where the 43-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter lived. They hit the two several times on their heads with an unidentified object and fled the house. The woman died at the scene, her daughter later at hospital.

At present investigators and criminologists of the Moscow Region Main Office continue working at the crime scene, investigating and search operations are underway to identify the murderers. The investigators also look at the motives of the crime and whether or not valuables were stolen.

The investigation is ongoing.
