The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area have opened a criminal investigation into failure to discharge duties of a fiscal agent by the top managers of OAO Urengoyneftegazgeologia, which is a crime under part 2 of article 199.1 of the RF Penal Code (failure to act as a fiscal agent committed in a very large scale).

Investigators have established that between January 2010 and December 2011, in the village of Urengoy, Pur District, top managers of Urengoyneftegazgeologia failed to transfer to the budget over 127 million rubles of the personal income tax which constitutes on a very large scale.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
