In Moscow final charges pressed against athlete Alexander Yemelyanonko

Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has pressed final charges against athlete Alexander Yemelyanenko of crimes under part 1 of article 132, part 2 of article 325, part 2 of article 230 of the RF Penal Code (sexual abuse, stealing of a passport and inclination to take drugs or psychotropic agents).

According to investigators, at night of 3 March 2014, Yemelyanenko sexually abused using force a maid in his flat in Peresvetovoy Pereulok in Moscow. He also threatened with violence to force the woman to take some drugs. After that he stole her passport from her purse.

At present Yemelyanenko and his lawyer are reading the files of the criminal case. After they are finished the case will be sent for the indictment to be approved and further on to court to be tried on the merits.
