Vanya Voronov makes friends with Investigative Committee cadets

All of us were shocked by what happened to Vanya Voronov, who lost his brother and was rendered an invalid during the shelling of Donbass by Ukrainian army. He, like other children, wounded by criminal actions of Ukrainian authorities, is receiving necessary medical treatment in the best hospitals of Russia.

Officials of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have raised over 5 million rubles for Vanya to buy the latest prostheses and undergo very complicated surgeries which may give him his eyesight back. The money raised by the officials of the Investigative Committee will also go for treatment and rehabilitation of other children wounded in Donbass.

Director of Alecander Nevsky Cadet School and Hero of the Soviet Union Igor Zaporozhan and cadets have come together with Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin to Children’s Traumatology and Surgery Research Institute (Roshal clinic) to congratulate Vanya Voronov on his 10th birthday. The children talked and Vanya said that he wanted to join the Cadet School. Cadets supported Vanya’s decision and Mr. Zaporzhan promised that the cadet family would wait until he got better. But for now Vanya is firmly enduring not only physical pain, but a tragedy of his family. The Cadet School is patronizing the boy.

We hope that wards of supports, professionalism of doctors and the money raised will help Vanya and he will get back to active life style and will be a worthy member of society. We will try to surround him with care and attention. Happy birthday, Vanya! We believe in you!
