A 20-year-old woman died on 14 March 2015, at 1 PM, after a chunk of ice fell on her from the roof of house No 2 in Fedoseyev street in the city of Novosibirsk. The Novosibirsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened an investigation in a crime under part 1 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide).

According to preliminary data, on 14 March the young woman was walking her dog when a piece of ice fell on her from the balcony of the 14^th floor. The woman died on the spot.

At present investigative operations are underway to identify officials responsible for the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
