Investigative Committee Chairman meets cadets in Moscow

In anticipation of the Great Patriotic War Victory Day Alexander Bastrykin has met cadets from among orphans and children left without parental care who study in Alexander Nevsky Cadet School in Moscow and in a cadet class in Vologda.

The children told the Chairman how they were getting ready to their future profession. They visited the museum to get more familiar with the history of Russian investigation and criminalistics. The cadets take much interest in studying in criminalistics club and club for history of jurisprudence. Mr. Bastrykin gave them several of his books on criminalistics, and made one of their dreams come true – gave them a criminalistics case, the one which investigators take when attending scenes of crimes.

The meeting with the cadets was also attended by Chairman of Investigation Veterans Union Vladimir Dontsov. The children told their mentors about their military and patriotic work, how they commemorate the killed and take care of the graves of the Great Patriotic War veterans.

In addition, the cadets told Mr. Bastrykin how they had made friends with Ivan Voronov, wounded in shelling of Donbass. At present the boy is being treated at Roshal clinic. The cadets visit him often and help nurses to take care of seriously ill children, who were also brought in Russia from the southeast of Ukraine. Ivan Voronov has personal rehabilitation program, which will allow him to become a cadet of Alexander Nevsky Cadet School. That was his wish he had shared with the Chairman of Investigative Committee during personal meeting.

The meetings of the Investigative Committee Chairman and cadets from among orphans and children left without parental care have become traditional. They agreed that they would have their next meeting in May.
