Investigative agencies of the Yaroslavl Region branch of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case into negligence by officials of the administration of the rural settlement of Burmakino, Nekrasovskoye Municipal District, Yaroslavl Region (part 1 of article 293 of the RF Penal Code).

According to investigators, officials of the administration of rural settlement of Burmakino, Nekrasovskoye Municipal District, Yaroslavl Region, in July 2014, entered into a municipal contract with the limited liability company "Kommunalshchik" for the construction of dug wells of reinforced concrete rings in the residential areas of the rural settlement of Burmakino. However, they did not perform the control and supervision of the progress of works. As a result the water in those wells can not be used because it does not meet sanitary standards and is not suitable for consumption.

Currently, investigation operations aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the specific officials involved in the crime are underway. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
