Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate holds first law contest dedicated to Lt. Gen. of Justice Mikhail Yadrov

Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate have organized and held the first law contest commemorating Lieutenant General of Justice Mikhail Yadrov.

The contest was organized by Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate to promote law knowledge among school children and to pay respects to a great man, Head of International Legal Cooperation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russia’s Prosecutor’s Office and later of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Lieutenant General of Justice Mikhail Yadrov.

The first in North Caucasus Federal District cadet class patronized by the Investigative Committee was honored to be named after Lt. Gen. Yadrov in 2012. At present there are 4 such classes and school No 24 in Stavropol has the name of Lt. Gen. Yadrov.

The tests of the contest prepared by the officials of the investigative directorate and history teacher of school no 24 Natalya Morina were designed to check students’ knowledge of the Russian Constitution, history of investigating bodies of Russia, juridical notions and terms, as well as give motivation for deeper knowledge. All grades higher than 8th of the school took part in a qualifying round which determined 15 winners – competitors of the finals. They completed most of the tasks and demonstrated good level of knowledge in the area of law.

The jury included President of Stavropol Region NGO Union of Investigation Veterans Anatoly Platonov, Vice-President of Stavropol Region NGO Union of Investigation Veterans Lidia Kibkalo, President of Mentors Council of Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate, Head of investigations office for Promyshlenny district, Stavropol Sergey Antonenko, senior assistants to Head of Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate Lyudmila Artamonova and Yekaterina Danilova, 11th grader of school No 24, winner of the city law competition Yelizaveta Moskovkina.

The first place was earned by a 10th grader of the Investigative Committee cadet class Valery Dyachkov, followed by a 10th-grader of the Investigative Committee cadet class Dmitry Zhukov in the second place, and a student of 10 B class Alexander Voznenko in the third.

All the competitors and winners got letters of commendation form Head of Stavropol Territory Investigations Directorate Sergey Dubrovin, the winners were also awarded valuable presents – deluxe editions of books in the order of position: Moscow Kremlin from the Depth of Ages, Peter I, 100 Great Monarchs and Rulers (for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively).
