A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict former lawyer of Saint-Petersburg Naryshkins Board of Attorneys Stanislav Rogozhin. He was found guilty of a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fruad).

The court and investigators have found that in 2004-2007 Rogozhin and sagadat Khabirov, CEO of OAO VO Stankoimport, 100% shares of which belong to the Russian Federation, developed and carried out a plan how to steal assets of the said company by organizing a fictitious debt of 14.4 million euros and exacting 334.6 million rubles in favor of Swiss company S.G. Industrial Finance AG under their control.

Due to the fact that Rogozhin is hiding from investigation and is wanted, the court in absentia found him guilty of the crime and sentenced to 8 years in prison.

The investigation against Khabirov has been dismissed due to his death.
