The investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigation against a woman accused of stealing a guide dog from a blind young woman (part 3 of article 158 of the RF Penal Code - theft).
It was reported earlier that, on 29 July 2015, Yulia Dyakova together with her guide dog was walking near Profsoyuznaya metro station in Moscow. When Dyakova had felt a strong jerk of the leash, she started calling the dog, which did not react to her commands. Passers-by started gathering around the crying girl and told her that an unidentified woman had been seen with the dog near the metro. On 6 August 2015, the investigators gave the dog back to its owner.
At present, the investigators are going to request a court to place the accused under house arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
