Probe launched in Moscow in overdue wages of OAO UZhS-1 founded by OAO Glavmosstroy

The Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation in a crime under part 2 of article 145.1 of the RF Penal Code (failure to pay wages over two months).

According to investigators, in the period between 1 December 2014 to 15 April 2015, unidentified individuals from among top managers of OAO UZhS-1, the sole founder of which was OAO Glavmosstroy, violated requirements of the Russian Constitution, labor laws and terms of labor contracts concluded with workers of the said company, when having enough funds they failed to pay over 100 million rubles in wages and other payouts to at least 1,000 workers.

In addition, it was reported earlier, that there was also an investigation ongoing against unidentified individuals from among top managers of OAO Glavmosstroy over a similar crime. Despite the fact that this information was denied in some media by representatives of GLavmosstroy and reports that the debt allegedly was completely paid off, the investigators revealed that there is the debt and not only to the workers of subsidiary companies, but to the employees of the head organization and headquarters of Glavmosstroy.

At present, investigative and search operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime and detain people involved. The investigation is ongoing.
