The Primorye Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal investigation in a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 238 of the RF Penal Code (unsafe services entailing death of a person).

According to investigators, on 15 September 2015, a 67-year-old local resident was admitted in Artyom Town Hospital No 1 for emergency hospitalization directed by the district general practitioner of the said hospital. A few hours later the man died. The preliminary cause of the death was not in the line with the man’s diagnosis.

At present, the investigation is ongoing, a set of operations are underway to find out all the circumstances. A forensic medical inquiry has been assigned to find out the cause of the death. The investigators have requested the information from supervising authorities that oversee the activity of medical workers, confiscated medical documents of the patient. During the probe the investigators are going to assess all the circumstances the medical aid was provided in.
