Criminalists of Investigative Committee Central Office set off to help investigate murder of children in Bashkiria and Primorye Territory

Following the order of the senior officials of the Investigative Committee criminalists of the Central Office have set out to help investigate murders of girls in Bashkortostan and Primorye Territory. The investigating bodies launched investigations into a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of a child).

In the evening of 21 September 2015, the police in Bashkortostan received a report that a girl from Sovetsky district of the city of Ufa was missing and her body was then found during search operations.

On 17 September 2015, a 9-year-old girl went missing in the village of Lazo, Dalnerechensk District, Primorye Territory. The check found that the girl had gone to school and never returned. The girl’s body with signs of violent death was found near the village after long searches.

A set of forensic inquiries have been assigned, witnesses are being questioned, other investigative operations are underway to identify and find the suspects. The expert criminalists are processing the materials seized from the crime scenes for DNA evidence. At the present time there are several versions being checked, including possibility of involvement of former convicts.

The investigations are ongoing.
