Probe launched in drug dealing in children’s facility in Novosibirsk Region

The Novosibirsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal investigation in a crime under part 1 of article 228.1 of the RF Penal Code (illegal drug dealing) following a fact of drug dealing in a children’s facility.

According to investigators, on 2 October 2015, three 5-year-old girls with signs of food poisoning were delivered by paramedics to a children’s clinical hospital from a kindergarten in Novosibirsk. Investigators examined the premises, where the children might have presumably taken the unknown substance and got poisoned by it. They confiscated objects vital for the investigation, questioned the staff and headmistress of the facility, paramedics and doctors of resuscitation department, the girls’ parents.

At the present time the girls are out of danger. One of them has been discharged.

According to experts the substance that poisoned the girls was a narcotic.

In addition, the investigators are carrying out a check into negligence of the kindergarten staff and providing by them unsafe services. The investigators are going to carry out the check in the shortest possible time in order to find out all the circumstances of the incident and make a legal and well-grounded procedural decision.
