The investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal investigation in a crime under paragraph “d” of part 2 of article 117 of the RF Penal Code (torture of a minor).

According to investigators, on 11 November 2015, at about 11:30 AM, a 5-year-old boy was transported to a hospital from one of houses in Ibragimov street in Moscow. The boy had combined traumas and signs of brutal treatment. According to preliminary information, a woman who did not want to raise her son had tried to leave him charge of priests of one of Moscow churches. When they saw the boy’s condition, they called an ambulance.

At present, the woman is being interviewed. Investigators are looking into all details of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
