The Tyumen Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigation into a crime under part 3 of article part 3 of article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide of two or more people) following death of 5 teenagers aged 15 and 16 of carbon monoxide inhalation in a garage in the town of Tobolsk. Teenager’s acquaintance aged 20 has been detained under article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code on suspicion of the crime.
It was reported earlier that today 28 November 2015, about noon, local time, dead bodies of 5 teenagers aged 15 and 16 without any visual signs of violent death were found in garage cooperative Stalker in the town of Tobolsk, Tyumen Region. According to preliminary data the teenagers might have died of exhaust gas inhalation when the car was on in a closed not aired space. The dead bodies were found today in the afternoon by the owner of the garage, the teenagers’ 20-year-old acquaintance, who had brought the teenagers on his car in the garage the night before. According to him, the teenagers had asked to be left inside, so that they had not to have spent time outside. The young man had agreed and left.
During the check of that version, the investigators have revealed that the young man really let the teenagers stay in his garage and gave them car keys instead of sending them home at such late time. His irresponsible attitude caused their death.
It should be noted that the investigation is under personal control of the senior officials of the Investigative Committee.
At present, the investigators continue operations at the crime scene. They are carrying necessary operations to find out all the details of the crime. Victims’ parents, relatives and acquaintances are being questioned. The suspect is going to be charged soon and a court will decide on the restraint. The investigation is ongoing.
