The Fifth Investigations Directorate (based in the city of Novosibirsk) of the Novosibirsk Region Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has finished criminal investigation against Vasily Yurchenko charged with a crime under part 2 of article 286 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of power committed by a person on a state position).

According to investigators, Yurchenko’s actions which obviously were outside his authority, violated considerably rights and legal interests of physical persons and legal entities by limiting their right to take part in an auction and buy a real estate located in the city of Novosibirsk. The actions caused considerable damage to OAO GazTransKom by undeceived income of at least 17.7 million rubles and to Novosibirsk Region by undeceived taxes and dividends of over 4.3 million rubles in the Novosibirsk Region budget.

Investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to a court to be tried on the merits.
