Head of commercial organization to stand trial in Dagestan for abuse of authority leading to debt for gas supplied

The Dagestani investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigation against CEO of OOO Dagestanenergo Magomed Aliyev. He is charged with a crime under part 2 of article 201 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of authority in a commercial organization) leading to a large debt for gas supplied.

According to investigators, Aliyev, who was CEO of OOO Dagestanenergo, in the period between July 2011 and December 2014, considering payments received from consumers, including citizens, having an opportunity and obligation to pay off 840 million rubles of debt for gas supplied under the agreement concluded with OOO Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Pyatigorsk, spent the money against the interests of the company which led to a multimillion credit debt and caused considerable pecuniary damage to rights and legal interests of OOO Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Pyatigorsk.

At present, the investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
