Another murder investigation launched against two suspects of killing two elderly people in Tula Region

The dead body of an 81-year-old woman was found in a detached house in Polezhayev Street in the town of Tula, on 27 October 2016. A forensic medical examination found that there were multiple injuries on the body suggesting violent death. The Tula Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in a crime under Part 2, items “g” and “h” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code (robbery-related murder committed by a group of people).

Investigators have established that two residents of the town of Tula aged 30 and 23 were involved in the crime. The two men were detained on suspicion of killing two elderly people in a detached house in Shchepkin Street in the town of Tula.

According to investigators, the suspects broke into the house of the 81-year-old woman on 27 October 2016 and beat her up. The woman died at the scene. The perpetrators took some of woman’s belongings and fled.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the murder and the investigators are checking if the two suspects were involved in other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
