The Orenburg Region Office of the Investigative Committee has charged a 32-year-old man with a crime under Part 2, items “a” and “c” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two people, including a child).

According to investigators, from 6 to 7 Pm, 2 November 2016, the accused quarreled with his ex-girlfriend in her flat in Dobrovolsky Street in the town of Orsk and stabbed her several times in the torso and neck and stabbed his 4-year-old daughter in the neck once. Both of the victims died on the scene. The man fled.

As became known earlier, the suspect was held near a house in Stroiteley Street in the town of Orsk on the evening of 3 November 2016, thanks to well-planned by the investigator operations and those held by the police. The man tried to run away and attacked the policemen with a knife. The officers had to use their guns and wounded the suspect. He is now in a hospital.

He has confessed to the crime and repented.

The investigator has requested a court to place the man in custody pending trial. Necessary forensic medical inquiries have been assigned. Investigative and procedural operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime and the motives. Investigators are collecting and documenting the evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
